 #guys, remember when red-k-induced, masked alleyway kisses were all we thought we were going to get? oh those wretched days when i used to count every arm punch and color-coordinated sartorial decision, and horde them away like a greedy, little such-and-such? and then season 9 came along. and bam! clark’s stealing kisses in the daily planet bullpen and practically inhaling lois like she’s the air itself. and double bam! lois is kicking newspaper stacks around and stealing kisses in storage closets (clearly her favorite spot besides phone booths, as opposed to clark, who likes to get it on right in the middle of the bullpen or elevators). and then pandora happened and i was never the same again. because clark was ripping buttons off and it was the end of the world and it was the most perfect. and then disciple comes along and he’s asking her to come on a tour of the galaxy (in his pants). skip a few episodes. and escape, oh my god, clark was tossing lois on that table like she was a sack of potatoes (a pretty sack) and everyone was on their way to happyville before that mofo, zod, decided to give them a ring (idiot). and then clark’s back to his bandit ways, stealing kisses in alleyways, and expecting lois to NOT recognize how his lips feel. dude, do you even go here? have you been asleep the past three years? because lois lane ain’t no fool. and then, guys. AND THEN - homecoming. the roof is on fire. FI-YAH. clark was like, ‘it’s christmas, y’all!’ and lois was like, ‘oh, you drive me crazy!’ i would give my left foot, right foot and left elbow to know what their hands were doing just outside of the shot. there’s a lot of things i won’t forgive the SV writers for, and not giving me a full-body, rooftop kiss shot is one of them. trolls, the lot of them. and then lois is leaping on clark in a pile of golden confetti, and it’s like the day we’d all been waiting for, that clark had been dreading and hoping for, and lois was more perfect than anything that has ever been. and then harvest. that hot mess of an m.knight.shayamalan rip-off gave us slow motion sex with candles and porny handholding. that was nice. also clark’s arm by lois’ head is the most simultaneously sexy-as-fuck and frightening thing you will ever see. AND THEN. AND THEN. AMBUSH. you guys. i was watching some grainy-ass clips off a useless server in the middle of sub-saharan africa and i just about fell off my bed when i saw the beginning of that episode. changed my life. i heard angels. i might have blacked out for a bit. porch swings. humping on a door. lois in a football jersey. clark leering over orange juice and strawberries. porch swings. i bet they broke that spindly thing the first time they tried it. damn. i’m glazing over just thinking on it. where was i? oh. skipping over a few kisses to booster. guys. that is a day that will be remembered in history because that’s where it all began. and. then. they. had. hot. sex. on. the. couch. tearing up just thinking about it. sigh. also lol at clark straight up getting ready to strip to ‘prove’ he wasn’t good enough for lois lane - sometimes i worry that that man got hit on the head one too many times. lois was like, ‘oh you poor, lost, little boy; here, take off those glasses, they’re about to fog up. and let me show you exactly why getting your nerdy on is so hot. lie back, honey, and try not to scream too loud - you’ll scare shelby.’ good times. and then the finale. sigh. i want to die
